| There are 68 lighthouses remaining on the coast of Maine, 6 of which are located only a short driving distance from The Spouter Inn. The Islesboro Ferry terminal at Lincolnville Beach will take you across Penobscot Bay to Gindle Point Lighthouse & Museum, which has a beautiful lawn for picnics! We are also minutes from Owl's Head Lighthouse and the Rockland Breakwater Light which is a very nice walk, 7/8 of a mile out into Rockland Harbor along a historic stone walkway built in the 1880s. |
